ETL Testing Overview

ETL Testing, also known as Extract Transformation and Load Testing, involves the collection of data from various sources in a heterogeneous system (such as databases), transforming it into the desired format for business purposes, and then loading it into a data warehouse.

Comprehensive understanding of the data to be reported.
Examination and review of the data model.
Assessment of data quality in the source system.
Testing of the schema in both the source and target systems.

Practical Exposure
